**Mission & Responsibilities**
Global CAPEX category owner:
- Implement Capex purchasing process and global strategy in the global company organization, with other stakeholders: operations, engineering, purchasing
- Contribution on Capex Investment optimization at Group level
- Capex supplier development
Leading the purchasing process in CAPEX projects (International scope):
- Ensure that a first strategic alignment is taking place in the opportunity study
- As an active member of the project management team, develop and propose purchasing Strategy and purchasing organization between local/group purchasing.
- Ensure compliance to the project objectives (cost, schedule) and the project purchasing strategy.
- Implement Design to cost method and process with Engineering on identified project
- Conduct the RFP (Request for Proposal) process, co-define suppliers with sourcing team.
- Ensure Purchasing activities as Technical Clarification Meeting, offer validation, bid evaluation and supplier selection.
- Ensure a consensus is reached for the award of each contract, optimize between Price and Risk (Quality, Schedule, Contract terms), and drive for optimal TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
**Education & Experience**
- Master's’ degree in engineering or business, with interest in technical products purchasing aspects.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Purchasing in industry.
- Experienced purchasing for a multi-site company
**Skills**
- Be autonomy and able to integrate fast in a new organization
- Be able to take responsibility on performance of his/her tasks and projects
- Be a global team player, strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Able to build relationships in multi-disciplinary teams
- Language skills: English, Flemish will be a plus
- Travel requirement: 50%, worldwide, mainly in Europe
