To strengthen our **Analytical Development Sciences for Biologicals** team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of **(Senior) Scientist Physico-Chemical Method Development. **The role is based Braine, Belgium.

**You will** contribute** **by**:
- Design experiments
- Autonomously manage, supervise and perform daily laboratory activities related to method development, validation, transfers, support to process, investigations
- Prepare and review/approve documentation (procedures, protocols, reports)
- Analyse results
- Verify data
- Present/discuss results in project team meetings
- Provide analytical expertise to projects
- Represent ADSB in cross functional project teams
- Interact with regulatory teams for file preparation and submission
- Liaise with other departments (e.g. QC, research) or external partners to ensure analytical knowledge transfer
All these activities will be performed in respect of the material and premises, to HSE rules and in compliance with the GMP rules and with the regulatory requirements for each development phase of the product.
**The function includes also the following**:
- Ensure day to day scientific assistance to laboratory analysts in order to solve analytical issues on the techniques run in the laboratory
- Contribute to implementation of new technologies where appropriate
**Interested? For this position you’ll need the following** **education, experience** **and** **skills**:
- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience on analytical techniques for Biologicals in a bio/pharmaceutical company and in GMP regulated laboratory or higher education
- Expertise in one or several analytical techniques for biologicals including liquid chromatography,capillary electrophoresis, mass spectrometry
- Strong and proven knowledge in protein chemistry
- Strong and proven laboratory skills
- Ability to author and review comprehensive and accurate procedures, protocols and reports in English
- Autonomy in the day to day work related to analytical method development / validation
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and of GMP rules
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, provide leadership and prioritization
- Ability to manage people through projects to work in a matrix and customer-oriented environment
- Interpersonal skills to communicate and maintain good working relationships within the team and with internal/external customers/partners
High level of analytical troubleshooting needed for both business and laboratory issues given the complexity of the department tasks. Must be able to direct the activities of analysts to solve problems pertaining to development activities.
