Polymer Application Specialist

Our client, based just west of Namur is an innovative and exciting producer of multiwall carbon nanotubes for the energy, transport and electronic markets. They are looking for a Polymer Specialist to join their team and work closely with the commercialisation, quality control and production departments.

This company has been around for 20 years and has been one of the pioneers in the manufacturing of industrial multiwall carbon nanotubes. The company's mission is to meet the needs of and find solutions for the transport, electronics, energy and industrial solutions sectors, as well as innovating completely new products and technologies. They have been consistently growing throughout the last two decades and are looking for a Polymer Specialist to be part of this growth and expansion.

**Responsibilities**:
Drive the activities in the product development of new products related to thermoplastic (especially compounding)

Support commercialisation of products through technical assessment and demonstrations on site at customer locations

Customer project management

Contribute to the creativity and innovation capacity of the organisation - seeking to break new ground in the development of products

**Profile**:
Master or PhD degree in material science/chemical engineering/chemistry

Background in polymer chemistry is a must

Expertise in thermoplastics compounding, converting and characterisation, as well as formulation procedures and knowledge of plastic fillers is an asset

Strong interpersonal skills

Experience in the field nanocomposite is an asset

Fluent in English and French.

Expertise in methods of characterisation of materials

Ideally several years of experience and strong technical background in materials processing and characterisation
