Job description
The Technical Purchaser manages all sourcing and supply chain activities for the assigned commodities: develop a sourcing strategy, continuously optimize cost, improve supplier performance, drive innovation and manage risk. This includes also the development, contracting and management of a supplier portfolio and enabling early supplier involvement by working closely together with all internal stakeholders, such as R&D, Quality, Operations, Product Management,.

**This is what you'll do**:

- Formulate the procurement vision, strategy and policy. Transform strategy into realistic, attainable and feasible objectives. Demonstrate understanding of the wider company needs & opportunities and incorporate these into the procurement plans.
- Actively follow up on orders for on-time deliveries
- Collaborate with the Supplier Quality Assurance team to improve the quality level of the suppliers.
- Coordinate and support purchasing requests for R&D and Project Management
- Maintain professional supplier relationships
- Process information in ERP
- Report to Management

**Profile**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Lighting industry or similar.
- Technical min bachelor or equivalent by experience (A2 electromechanics is a plus, affinity with electronics is a must)
- Analytical, accurate and delivers high quality work
- Good communication skills, verbal and written in English and Dutch
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams, different functional levels, and with our manufacturing partners
- Team-player as well as be able to work independently
- Strong ethics and cultural awareness
- Respect confidentiality
- Be stress-resistant, assertive, and detailed
