Als Product Manager maak je deel uit van het aankoopteam en help je mee bij het realiseren van de missie van deze afdeling, nl. het prikkelen van onze klanten door onze duidelijke, dynamische en waardevolle keuzes in assortiment. We gaan daarbij pro-actief en met kennis van zaken te werk, we willen al onze klanten on
- en offline en de markt zeer goed kennen en doorgronden.
**Je functie**:
- Je bent samen met je collega product managers verantwoordelijk voor de aankoop binnen het marktsegment van het Nederlandstalige boek (alle genres, inclusief wetenschappelijke literatuur). Dit impliceert dat je een netwerk ontwikkelt en onderhoudt binnen de uitgeverswereld.
- Je selecteert een aanbod in lijn met de commerciële strategie en op basis van een analyse van klantenprofielen en verkoopcijfers.
- Op basis van de marketingstrategie, werk je samenwerkingen met leveranciers uit m.b.t. het organiseren van promoties van het aanbod.
- Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het beheer en de performantie van jouw categorie van producten (rentabiliteit, marge). Dit houdt ook in dat je voor jouw categorie opvolgt dat je collega’s alle bestellingen correct en tijdig plaatsen, en dat je van de leveranciers de nodige product master data ontvangt. Daarnaast zorgt je dat vragen van klanten en winkels m.b.t. producten van jouw categorie klantgericht behandeld worden.
**Je profiel**:
- Je genoot een hogere algemene opleiding en je beschikt over de nodige relevante ervaring in een retail of B2C omgeving
- Je hebt kennis van de wereld van Nederlandstalige boeken en uitgeverijen
- Je kan goed onderhandelen, op basis van je goede voorbereiding kan je optimale door alle partijen gedragen resultaten boeken bij gesprekken met tegenstrijdige belangen
- Je bent Nederlandstalig en hebt een goede kennis van het Frans en het Engels
- Je bent analytisch en bent in staat om inzichten te halen uit analyse van persona’s, verkoopcijfers, rendementen van marketingacties
- Je hebt voeling met de evolutie van trends en van markten en kan dit vertalen naar een klantgerichte en rendabele selectie
- Je hebt een open maar tegelijk kritische geest. Je communiceert duidelijk en enthousiasmerend en past je snel en makkelijk aan naargelang je gesprekspartner (interne en externe)
- Je bent een geboren netwerker, zowel binnen als buiten de eigen organisatie en je kan deze gebruiken om sterke samenwerkingen op te zetten
- Je neemt Initiatief en je bent proactief, steeds alert voor kansen, nieuwe situaties of problemen
