The **Ghent Marriott** stands proudly in the historic city center, gracing the banks of the Lys River within the medieval harbor. Boasting 150 luxurious bedrooms, 9 versatile meeting and event spaces, a renowned restaurant, and a charming terrace overlooking the canal, it's a beacon of hospitality in the city.

Meanwhile, the **Residence Inn**, Belgium's first of its kind, opened its doors in 2019. Nestled in the southern part of Ghent near the Football Arena and major motorways, it offers 105 modern self-catering apartments, catering perfectly to extended stays with all the comforts of home.

Excitingly, our growth doesn't stop there. Our owners are currently developing **two additional hotels and a meeting centre in Ghent,** expanding our footprint and solidifying our presence in the local market.

Both properties are managed by Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA, a division of the esteemed Aimbridge Hospitality brand, overseeing a vast portfolio of over 1,600 hotels and resorts worldwide. From big brands like Hilton, Accor, Marriott, and IHG to boutique and independent hotels, Aimbridge Hospitality prides itself on excellence and diversity.

A day in the life of

As** banqueting host**, you will work with the wider FB team to ensure our guests have the perfect experience within our hotel.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic banqueting host (M/F) to take care of our meetings, receptions and dinners at the Ghent Marriott hotel.
Are you able to perform all events to perfection?
Do you have the right communication skills and do you speak both Dutch and English?
Are you flexible in working hours and can you work excellently in a team context?

As a banqueting host you are partly responsible for the organization of the banquets and meetings in the hotel.
You will make every effort to meet all guest requirements and you strive to exceed the guest's expectations.
You set up the meeting rooms in the desired arrangement, you provide the necessary coffee breaks, lunches and dinners and you clear the meeting rooms after the event.

You will always look for the best solutions, you have a positive attitude and you are proud of your job.

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within a similar role, preferably within the branded market. You will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards.
