**Context**:
In order to reinforce our Legal team within our firm **Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM)** located in Brussels, we are currently looking for a M/F Legal Officer
**Your Position**:
- Support fund restructurations (mergers, liquidations, creation of new funds (AIF & UCITS)
- Update or review contracts, specific documents with services providers having signed an agreement with the Funds or DPAM
- Legal analysis and implementation of new regulations (SFDR, Taxonomy, PRIIPS, etc.)
- Introduce files regarding the funds with the regulatory authorities (FSMA), contact the FSMA, notary public, and contact other services providers with which the funds (or DPAM) has an agreement
- Ensure relationship with internal partners
- Support the pan-European distribution of Belgian investment funds including registration of the funds with our external services providers
- Monitor the regulatory and legislative evolution with a focus on investment funds and asset management companies
- Take part at the Belgian Asset Management Association (BEAMA), EFAMA and AFG and in internal legal meetings and training sessions related to the industry of the funds
- Legal coverage of the national and international marketing activity
- Legal and regulatory aspects of the funds’ and asset management company’s activities on a cross-border basis (international activities of DPAM)
**Your Profile**:
- Belgian Master in law;
- First experience (1 to 3 years) as a legal officer in an investment funds/company law (lawyer office, notary office, consultant company or in a similar position).
- Background in financial law and in the funds industry is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English
- Highly precise, organized and administrative oriented, able to work in a changing environment
- IT minded (Word, Excel, using platforms dedicated to the management of the funds)
- Able to work autonomously and to build up good interpersonal relationship and like to work in close partnership with the people in the business
