Yard Manager

As a Yard Manager your responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring employee productivity, monitoring efficiency of all processes and creating a positive work environment for employees. You carry out supervisory tasks in the place of a senior manager. They're an important part of many company hierarchies, carrying out the role of manager when the senior manager is not on duty.

The Yard Manager accomplishes department objectives by managing staff, planning and evaluating department activities. Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment. Develops personal growth opportunities.

**WHAT ARE YOUR TASKS ?**:
- Provide input to develop Dispatching & Network Control strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies.- Directs all delivery activity to and from specific destinations including company stores, local warehouse distributors, distribution, and various business establishments.- Develop and implement plans for all dispatch and network control activities; Shipping & Receiving, Warehousing, Order Filiing, Picking, Packing and Inventory Control & Records Management.- Plan, analyze and project transportation costs and coordinate customs clearance and permits.- Build and secure business relationships with supply and logistics team and external global/local logistic providers to optimize routes and shipment cycle and to plan and schedule deliveries.- Lead process improvement by analyzing complex issuesv, benchmarking and identifying opportunities and introduce best practices for Dispatching & Network Control focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.

**WHO ARE YOU?**:
- You have a Bachelors degree, or similar through experience.- You have 2 years experience in a supervisory-level role or management role.- Yard experience is an asset.- You have good customer orientation and business acumen.- You are fluent in Dutch, English and French.**HOURS?**:
