Based in the area of Charleroi, our client is an industrial company active in **energy and automation** technologies.
Technological leader and pioneer in its field, our client develops high-quality **energy solutions to** **accelerate the energy transition** towards a sustainable future.
To ensure their strong growth, we are looking for a **Strategic Buyer (M/F)**.
**Responsibilities**
Your main responsibilities are:
**Sourcing activities**:
- Plan, initialize and monitor strategic sourcing activities for Project and New product developments, early involvement of key Suppliers, design to cost aspects: approve supplier decisions from LPGs.
- Negotiates frame agreements and executes upon approval. Defines and establishes standard agreements (GTC, agreements for quality assurance and logistics) with all major suppliers, relevant for the category payment terms, supplier consolidation, usage of preferred suppliers.
- Contract management: cost reduction on external material, extension of average based on RFX requirements.
- Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process.
**Suppliers Activities**
- Coordinate and implement sourcing strategy, identify, analyze, evaluate, audit and monitor suppliers.
- Drive and advance strategic supplier portfolio based on different commodity.
- Initiate and improve operational Excellence & Supplier Performance.
- Supplier Performance SPE Result, Cost Target in New Developments.
- Supplier Relationship Management: supplier risk management, supplier development, supplier auditing and contracting, coordinate efforts for supplier/part qualification.
**Cooperation with Internal Stakeholders**
- Cooperate with engineering and other functions.
- Secure Material availability in production.
- Fulfill the guidelines of SOX, OHS, EHS and Compliance.
**Profile**
- Minimum 5 years of Working experience in a Purchaser/ Buyer position.
- Additional working experience in Electrical or Electro-mechanical parts industry considered as a plus.
- Knowledge of the market and suppliers within an industrial sector. Excellent negotiation skills.
- Must be able to communicate supply chain objectives clearly and deliver the result.
- Good teamwork, able to combine the strategic thinking with tactical daily work.
- Knowledgeable in ERP system and skill in SAP is a Plus.
- Fluent in English.
