Our client is a well-known and international automotive rental company, with BeLux HQ located in Diegem.
**Function**:
As IT Coordinator you will work at the Belgian HQ in Diegem and act the local link between the centralized IT Service Center in Germany and the external IT partners and suppliers of the various car rental stations spread across Belgium and Luxemburg.
Making use of your local knowledge and language skills (Dutch / French), you will support the German based IT Service Center with implementing structured IT processes in the BeLux region and improving the quality of the technology services provided by third party service desk agents, engineers and software developers.
The role will encompass the following main areas:
- Reporting directly to the IT Business Partner based in Germany
- Taking ownership of infrastructure changes in the rental station network in Belgium and Luxembourg
- Proactively identifying infrastructure problems and working with central IT, end-users, and third parties to resolution
- Maintaining excellent relationship with local IT partners and suppliers, thereby representing the German IT Service Center towards these third parties in their local language.
- Providing technical hands-on support for Belgian HQ IT infrastructure (telephony, networking equipment, end user equipment)
- Supporting IT infrastructure projects affecting the BeLux region
- Supporting correct prioritization of IT support requests at rental stations and their timely resolution
**Profile**:
To ensure success as an IT Coordinator, you have in-depth knowledge of business software and hardware systems (client and server) combined with excellent organization, time management and interpersonal skills:
- +5 years proven work experience as an IT Coordinator or system administrator:
- Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
- Excellent knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues with excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills;
- Willingness to work independently and provide in-field support at the various BeLux rental stations
- Organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Confident in both supporting your internal customers and instructing external suppliers
- Flexible & adaptable towards an ever-changing, fast-moving business
- Communicative and able to effectively translate technical language towards business users;
