**The role, at a glance**:
Biamp is a leading AV company with a global presence. We are seeking a highly motivated Controller to join our finance team in the EMEA region. This position will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, internal controls, process improvements, managing closings and reporting, and will be a pivotal player in the upcoming implementation of a new worldwide ERP system.
**How you'll contribute**:
- Oversee and manage the smooth operation of the day-to-day financial activities within the EMEA region.
- Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes for the EMEA-region.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the EMEA and US-Corporate finance teams and across all functions of the business.
- Contribute to the growth of the business.
- Contribute to the oversight and enhancement of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements in financial operations through process optimization and expanded use of technology tools.
- Work individually and within cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline financial processes.
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
- Demonstrate a hands-on approach, unafraid to take a deep dive into an issue to find solutions.
- Support and back up other team members as required.
- Serve as a liaison between the EMEA finance team and the US-based ERP project team during the implementation of the new global ERP system, ensuring local compliance requirements are identified and met.
- Actively participate in growth and integration projects.
- Holds a master's degree in applied economics (or equivalent through experience) and possesses a minimum of initial, solid experience in accounting, auditing or controlling.
- Demonstrates common sense, a strong desire to learn, and an active engagement in the company's financial operations.
- Exhibits effective communication skills, primarily in English.
- Displays precision, robust analytical abilities, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic coupled with practical judgment.
