PURPOSE OF THE JOB AND ADDED VALUE
- Central point of contact for drivers for loading and unloading products within LBC Antwerp. First point of contact for visitors who do not register via the main entrance
- Taking care of one’s own safety and acting with environmental and quality awareness within the frameworks set by management. This entails the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Identifying safety & environmental risks and bottlenecks
- Receives the loading/unloading information from the drivers and checks it for completeness and correctness + takes further action if necessary.
- Convert the received information into a work order for the Operators; this, using the orders prepared by the customer coordinators; he/she ensures that loading compartments are not overfilled or underfilled. That the loading tank on the prepared order contains the correct product and may be selected for unloading.
- That additional instructions (with regard to sampling, sealing, reporting to a surveyor) for the driver and the outside operator are clearly recognizable and clear.
- Ensures that after loading/unloading the transaction is completed correctly in LBC’s administrative system.
- Ensures that customer-specific instructions regarding the provision of information to the customer are followed. He/she will also note this on the documents so that this can be demonstrated in future questions.
- Ensures that the driver receives all necessary documents correctly and that these documents are also listed on the CMR.
- Ensures that the papers associated with the completed loading/unloading arrive at the correct (internal) destinations.
- Strives with his/her colleagues and within his/her working environment to maintain an unambiguous work process about the customers and with the surround functions and cooperates in drawing up procedures/agreements that support this.
- Keeps track of all materials required for smooth operation Dispatch seals, labels, paper, blank documents and all related.
- Archiving finished documents in both temporary and final archive.

WHAT WE BELIEVE YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS DISPATCHER
- Professional education/experience and other requirements:_
- ASO-TSO (secondary education) or >3 years’ experience in forwarding, logistics, chemical sector, administration;
- Languages: Dutch, English and French;
- Knowledge of MS Office;
- Transport Legislation.
