**We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead to oversee our Foundation Team. **This team plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our CI/CD pipeline and internal tooling that empower our developers to deliver exceptional software products.
As a Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented group of developers while collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization.
**The role**
As the Team Lead of the Foundation Team, you'll be managing the young and growing team responsible for various aspects of the software development cycle of our main product BricsCAD.
Responsibilities of the team include:
- Maintaining the logic of the CI/CD pipelines and actively improving the efficiency of these pipelines. These workflows cover building, testing and releasing of our code.
- Integration of industry standard tooling like SonarCloud, Github (actions), GUnit, etc.
- Maintenance and development of our licensing layer.
- The team streamlines the way localizations are handled in BricsCAD.
Your leadership and technical expertise, in close collaboration with the Lead Architect and the Product Owner of the team, will be crucial in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the BricsCAD software development processes.
Your role encompasses the following key areas:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of software engineers.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- As HR manager of the team, you’ll be conducting regular performance assessments, setting goals, and offering constructive feedback to team members.
Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute with technical expertise to the various tasks that are performed by the team members. Together with the Software Architect, it’s your task to break the initial ideas into workable chunks for the team members to complete and make progress on the roadmap of the team.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that software delivery processes are streamlined, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
- You won’t only guide the team members in their tasks, but a sizeable chunk of your work will be spent on coding.
**Your profile**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, overseeing software development, DevOps, or related functions.
- Proficiency in CI/CD concepts, version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment strategies.
- Working experience as a C++ programmer (or another OO language).
- Knowledge of python is a plus as quite some of the tooling is python based.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience leading Agile/Scrum teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Problem-solving mindset with a strong ability to analyse complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Prior experience in software development, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to balance technical leadership with team management responsibilities
