As a Foundation Package Manager Installation, you will be responsible to set up the transport and installation strategy for our offshore wind farms. You will be team up with transport and installation engineers to engage with the supply chain to select, commit and contract the best vessels to transport and install the wind farm substructures in time and within the budget.
Your Role
- Continuously engage with the transport and installation supply chain, assess newcomers and industry trends
- Create, update Employer’s requirements Review related to marshalling, transport and installation related and interfaces with other packages and departments.
- Organize and lead supplier selection process of T&I contractors including prequalification, vessel reservation, early work agreements and contract negotiations.
- Identify and check the technical and contractual interfaces between design, storage transport and installation of wind farm substructures and implement them in the contracts.
- Ensure that relevant quality and HSE requirements of the fabrication processes are implemented in our contracts.
- During construction you will be responsible to ensure that contractor’s method statement comply with Employer’s requirements this includes the management claims from the contractor.
- Ensure that transport and installation is performed according to the agreed schedule.
- Together with the T&I engineers interact with installation contractors during preparation meetings to assure compliance with the Employer’s
Requirements;
- Internally report on progress, risks, strategy, budget related to the installation progress.
- Follow up on the offshore execution phases with occasional site visits;
- Keep track of and implementation lessons learned;
Flexibility (in both directions) will be a large part of your function. You will have the opportunity to perform offshore visits (and occasionally you will have to travel, in Belgium as well as abroad).
Your Profile
- Master degree in structural, naval engineering or equivalent through experience.
- Experience in managing T&I contractors during offshore wind installation works.
- Knowledge of contract types used in the offshore wind installation works.
- Ability to work independently and strong problem-solving attitude.
- Pro-active mentality, keeping track of and pushing the state-of-the-art.
- You are driven, pragmatic and solution-oriented.
- You are a team player and have the necessary communication skills.
- Ability to manage own workload and meet demanding timescales.
- You are fluent in English, fluency in Dutch, French is a plus.
- Software knowledge in MS Office,
