**Your responsibilities at C&A**
- Design product in line with our consumer strategy, translating catwalk and trend information into commercially relevant product
- Create clear and concise product specifications which communicate style, fabric, trim, color and construction so suppliers can make items to our quality standards
- Make sure the product category fits into the business strategy and continuously look for ways to support positive business growth alongside partners from Planning, Brand, Marketing, Sourcing, Quality and Sustainability
- Keep up to date with fabric, trim and make, in order to ensure product designs can meet margin target
- Follow and meet deadlines set forth in the Consumer Cycle and ensure all PLM (Product Lifecycle tool) entries are correct and timely so products can be delivered on time to shopfloor
- Deliver the proper fit and design direction by working with the technical team so they can execute the guidelines for our suppliers to follow in order to ensure a proper fit for our consumer
- Utilise knowledge of best seller and worst seller reports to learn from our successes and losses in order to move forward with a more commercial view and achieve business goals

**What we need from you**
- A college degree in Fashion Design, Textiles or equivalent
- Previous Apparel Design experience in a similar position
- A good knowledge of sewing techniques, trims, fabrics and materials, graphic techniques and innovations to meet our consumer and financial goals
- Good knowledge of forecasting of trend, innovation and sustainability and knowing how to present and communicate them
- Working knowledge of 3D systems and processes and product development/product lifecycle management (PDM/PLM) systems
- Fluent in English, especially in manufacturing and technical terms, preferably fluent in one more language
