Mechanical Owner’s Representative

Mission
- Develop an understanding of the mechanical design and Client’s standards.
- Develop deep knowledge of trade contractors’ project delivery strategy, planning, work sequences, etc. to optimize delivery.
- Identify and advise on risks and opportunities (i.e. to safety, schedule, cost, quality). Drive improvements - as agreed with the DCS Mechanical Engineer.
- Monitor and report on mechanical systems construction progress, ensure work is executed in line with the design intent, local code and applicable standards.
- Provide technical input and recommendation to support Requests For Information, Engineering Bulletins, submittals, and design changes - in coordination with the A/E and DCS Mechanical Engineer.
- Assist the DCS Mechanical Engineer in resolving site mechanical issues (e.g. code / standard compliance, quality observations, substitutions).
- Monitor all mechanical “snags” and be accountable for the close-out of all mechanical issues (work by Contractor) before project handover.
- Support from a technical perspective. Close-out and handover activities.
- Support projects closeout activities such as remaining snags and documentation.

Profile
- You detain a diploma of Mechanical / Electromechanical engineer with experience in the engineering sector
- You Ability to draft reports, synthesis, calculation notes and technical specifications
- You have an interest in design, manufacturing and site operation activities
- You are accurate, solution minded, communicative, team-player skills
- You are fluent in English and have a good knowledge of French.
- Expected knowledge: cooling towers, chillers, heat pumps, piping, fuel and sprinkler systems.
