**Function**:
In order to anchor our leading market position of our renewable energy expert services, we are looking for a motivated Battery and Energy Storage System (BESS) engineer to join our team based in Brussels. Your key responsibilities will be spread between 3 main axes:
Technical Expertise:

- Feasibility: Support clients in selecting cutting-edge battery technology selection, optimizing market valorisation, and sizing BESS in association with solar or windfarm installations ie hybridisation.
- Strategy: Conduct comprehensive market analysis presenting regulatory landscapes and potential revue sources such as Baringa Data or similar, secondary energy markets...
- Development: Support clients with BESS from design and engineering to contracting, construction and commissioning.
- Operation: Ensure ongoing client success by suggesting improvements to increase availability, performance, reliability, and lifespan of storage solutions.
- Grid Integration: Comprehensive understanding of grid integration challenges and solutions for integration of BESS into existing power systems.

Growth & Standardization:

- Assist in building the road map to enhance 3E’s offering with regards to storage services.
- Develop procedures, templates, and guidelines for BESS projects to ensure quality and uniformity in execution.
- Continuously refine processes based on knowledge gained from past projects.

Training & Knowledge Transfer:

- Mentor and train colleagues on BESS-related topics, ensuring the consistent upskilling of company personnel.
- Facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices across all global offices.

**Profile**:
We are looking for someone who has a technical mindset combined with a commercial flair. You have an analytical and critical mind to help us improve on a daily basis. You are someone creative, innovative and accurate. You are someone who does not hide ambition and who thinks outside of the box, is service-oriented and hungry for knowledge.

Of course, there are some non-negotiables:

- You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems.
- You have a solid experience in industry, with a minimum 3-5 years of experience in BESS design and deployment focused on Li-on technology.
- You have strong Project Management skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You show a strong interest in renewable energies, and this reflects in your way of life.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
- You demonstrate very strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Your presentation skills are on point and you like participating in group discussions.
- You act as a strong team player with the ability to act as a mentor to other colleagues.

Bonus points for:

- Knowledge of running BESS simulations with specific software or creating sizing tools for this purpose.
- Experience in the solar energy field.
- Knowledge of French or Dutch or additional languages.
- Basic knowledge in programming (Python) is an asset.
