**About the role**
We are looking for a Java backend engineer to join our SWIFT Translator squad. You will be part of an agile and multi-disciplinary squad of skilled and motivated professionals.
In this role you will tackle a variety of technical challenges to help us build and grow our offer in validation and translation of financial messages. SWIFT Translator is a cornerstone of the international financial messaging systems. It enables banks, central banks and market infrastructures to manage a wide variety of message formats and standards, to interoperate better and do business in a fast and reliable way.
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and develop new features for our customers.
- Deliver testable, maintainable, high-quality code and take operational responsibility for the product.
- Work in an environment that supports your individual growth by providing you with challenging tasks and helping you acquire new skills.
**Key Experience required for the role**:
**Education**
University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree is an asset.
**Experience and skills required for the role**:
- 2-3 years of experience in Java 8 and some experience of Java development in professional environment. Equivalent University Graduate will also be considered as long as they have some experience in Java development.
- Experience in coding, testing, debugging, profiling and automation techniques.
- Looking for the right mindset, curious about new technologies and eager to participate in complex projects.
- Team player and able to make decisions quickly.
- This person will focus on quality and performance, so they are able to deliver high-quality code in exciting environment.
