We are on the lookout for a/an** **Business Analyst** **to join our team for working with European Institutions based in** Brussels** in an **Near site** position**.**

For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.
RTD.H.DEP.IT, in collaboration with other Commission services and stakeholders, delivers high-quality corporate solutions and information systems for the Research and Innovation Family, supporting the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies. They develop and manage solutions for grants, experts, and procurement management. With DG DIGIT's support, DG R&I is creating the eGrants program, an end-to-end grant management solution with comprehensive front office and back office functionalities
Below are the details of your role and requirements.
**Your role**
- Analysing business requirements and procurement business flows in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Translating the business requirements to a business case, describing As Is vs To Be and providing a Fit-Gap analysis
- Offering customer guidance in choosing and proposing the most suitable solution to aid their daily activities
- Documenting clear functional specifications for the development team
- Creation of User Stories for the development team
- Testing and validation of the proposed solutions and it’s functionalities
- Assisting in the go-live of validated solutions
- Providing knowledge sharing and expertise towards the internal team of consultants
- Assist and ensure Quality Assurance in the product management
- Drafting Test plans and test scenarios linked to business requirement

Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
Using modelling tools (Confluence Gliffy)
- Webservices (soap, rest, xml, xsd, using xpaths)
- Designing mock-ups (Confluence Balsamiq)
- Relational database knowledge
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case
diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model etc.)
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile)
- Strong capacity in preparing and writing business analysis
- Capability to speak to business and technical audiences
- Strong capacity to give high level presentations
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
- Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment
- Great communication and presentation skills
