**Function**:
You acquire an **excellent business perspective** and based on this business perspective, you develop the IT strategy which takes into account the organization's** IT needs and goals**. In your role, you will really bring IT and business together and align them.
**Tasks**:
- You recommend the best related IT enablers, based on state-of-the-art and proven technologies;
- People management: you mentor, inspire and motivate the entire IT team to achieve the highest possible performance and engagement;
- You decide on what the core competencies are from the IT team and what should be outsourced. You build the IT team based on these decisions (e.g. defining roles and responsibilities);
- You take an objective and critical look at how the platform was developed so far and what will be the way forward;
- You decide on the further architecture of the platform;
- You manage the relationship with the external service providers: you challenge them on a strong IT service delivery, handle the contract management, evaluate their work and make sure there is an excellent collaboration.
- You implement the best processes and methodologies in order to structure the IT delivery in the best possible way (change & project management);
- You continuously align the IT activities (development & management) with the organizational objectives and communicate these to the stakeholders so that the right focus is maintained;
- You closely follow-up on new innovations and emerging technologies.
**Profile**:
- A **Bachelor or master's** degree
- Fluent in **English**, knowledge of **any other language** (French, Dutch) can be a plus
- You are a **strong people manager** and experienced in running a well-performing team
- Good experience in **managing external service providers**:
- Good **knowledge of IT methodologies** (COBIT, ITIL)
- You are **customer focused** and solution minded.
