R&d Laborant Technicus

**Functieomschrijving**:

- Work in R&D laboratory under supervision on assignments to prepare chemicals and polyurethane foams according to established guidelines.
- Support R&D with the preparation of formulation, chemical analyses, production of polyurethane foams and product testing according protocols and procedures.
- Assist R&D with special assignments as necessary to assure timely completion of testing in accord with existing timelines.
- Homologation of new materials and suppliers in existing formulations.
- Analysis of competing systems on the market.
- Generates reports, performs calculations and completes necessary documentation
- Maintain laboratory and equipments in an orderly and careful manner.

**Profiel**:

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or at least 2 years of chemistry studies.
- Minimum experience working with polyurethane formulations or in an R&D chemical laboratory environment.
- Strong ability to follow oral and written instructions coupled with the ability to work independently.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Effective interpersonal skills, facilitate effective teamwork.
- Good knowledge of common computer software packages (Windows, MS Office, etc.).
- Flexible and capable to adapt to work/project change based on priorities.
- Use of good laboratory practices and have the highest standards of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
