**Main objectives**:
Management and control of purchasing activities relating to your commodities, the ultimate goal being Quality material delivered On-time and at the Right price.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Management and control of purchasing activities
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Purchasing
- Expedites and follows up the purchase until the products and services are delivered.
- Discusses any defects of purchased goods with Quality Department and Suppliers.
- Monitor vendor quality and delivery performance and issues supplier performance measurement reports.
Storage Management
- Manage Inventory levels to achieve targets on excess and inactive inventory.
- Review all lead-time that in turn will lead to reductions on or below inventory standards.
Supplier Relationship
- Lead in Cost Down Negotiations with suppliers
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
- The Buyer will be reporting to the Procurement Manager.
