We are looking for **Dispatchers** to join our team at our Flight School at the DronePort Aerodrome in Sint-Truiden.

The dispatcher is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of all planned resources. The position holder ensures all resources are ready to fly from an administrative point of view as well as being a coordinator for shuffling the schedule where necessary. The dispatcher plays a critical role in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and ensures a continuous follow-up of all activities. Where necessary, the dispatcher coordinates with the planner any changes on a daily basis. The dispatcher ensures a good working relationship between CAE and the customer.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for assigning resources to the planned schedule.
- Responsible for checking crew documentation, including cancellation forms.
- Responsible for the dispatching of flights in accordance with local procedures and procedures outlines in the respective Training and Operations Manuals.
- Responsible for complete activity follow-up (check-in, activity authorization, ramp-out, ramp-in, activity completion and cancellation if applicable).
- Communicate with crews via radiotelephony or any other means provided by CAE to coordinate ramp-out, ramp-in and any other relevant events.
- Coordinate with the Operations and Maintenance Manager any (un)foreseen maintenance events, to include local maintenance.
- Daily operational check of all tools available to crews (computers, printers, etc.)
- Updating Garmin G1000 navigation databases every 28 days.
- Retrieving and storing Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) every 28 days.
- Responsible for performing actions in accordance with the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
- Physically move airplanes out and into the designated hangers with and without the use of (electric) tow trucks.
- Fuel airplanes.
- When certified to do so, provide First Aid when necessary.

Additional requirements for the position are:

- Must be fluent in the English and Dutch Language. Knowledge of the French Language is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) are required.
- Understand and value cultural diversity (daily working together with customers from broadly varying cultures).
- Ability to resist work-related stress in a dynamic environment while maintaining a clear mind and full operational focus.
- Experience with or educational background on Radiotelephony communications and discipline is preferred but not essential.
- Experience or educational background as an EASA or FAA Flight Dispatcher is a plus.

Working Conditions
Position will be performed inside at a desk, while facing customers. Entering aircraft and/or simulator training devices may be required. This may include working outside for periods of time.
