Operative Buyer

**Your mission**:
As an Operative Buyer, you will be joining our European Purchasing department, located between Belgium and Germany, and participate in all its activities:

- Further development of the purchasing department and its processes
- Ensuring that materials are procured on time (production, commercial and plant materials)
- Operational purchasing activities from requesting quotations, order confirmation to continuous master data maintenance and inventory control
- Proactive, strategic supplier management with full responsibility for identifying and negotiating new or current suppliers, conditions and framework agreements
- Development of cost savings, identification and negotiation
- Coordination and support of purchasing projects
- Close cooperation with all specialist departments, in particular production planning and sales, quality and warehouse logistics

**Your profile**:

- You have 5 years’ experience in a Buyer/Purchasing position, preferably in an industry
- You are fluent in English, the ability to use German in a professional way can be an asset. Any additional European language is an asset
- High level of communication skills, negotiating skills, ability to work under pressure
- You know how to be assertive and are goal oriented
- You have a hands-on mentality and are confident handling of ERP systems and MS Office products
- You have experience in operational material planning
