**About Johnson & Johnson**:
The Center of Excellence for Predictive Analytics and Stability Sciences (CoE PASS) operates within the Global Analytical Development Synthetics organization, a division of the Therapeutics Development & Supply (TDS) department at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. In CoE PASS, we foster a dynamic team, uniting experimentalists, computational scientists, and modelers. Our primary focus centers on drug stability and reactivity across various stages of drug discovery and development.
Moreover, the scientist in this role will represent the company in international consortia, focusing on drug chemistry, thereby influencing the field and shaping approaches in collaboration with other companies and regulatory authorities.

**Education**:
- PhD in organic chemistry with a strong background in analytical chemistry.
**Experience and Skills**:
**Required**:
- At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience or equivalent experience is preferred for scientist; a minimum of 3 years (semi-) industrial experience is required for senior scientist
- Significant achievements in the synthesis of complex molecules and/or synthetic methodology development, with deep knowledge of modern synthetic & analytical techniques (LC-MS) is required.
- Firm knowledge in reaction mechanism elucidation
- Excellent communication, reporting, planning, and team interaction skills, self-motivation, proactivity, and the ability to work independently
- Willing to challenge the status quo in a constructive manner, suggesting alternative solutions for existing problems
- Exposure to one or more other disciplines of relevance to drug discovery, such as synthetic organic chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, formulation, biochemistry, physical chemistry, or analytical chemistry
- Work in a multidisciplinary team of scientists and show willingness to learn/explore new techniques (for example EPR spectroscopy, electrochemistry, UV/VIS spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, CAD)
- Experience or interest in using kinetic or molecular simulations in reaction mechanism analysis is a plus
