**What We Are Looking For**:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for assisting in all Accounts Payable (AP) functions with a primary focus of ensuring timely recording and payment of vendor invoices.
**What You'll Do**:
- Analyze, code, and enter vendor invoices on a timely basis, paying attention to service periods, VAT and corresponding with other departments for proper general ledger coding.
- Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors to research open or unresolved invoice issues and disputes.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure new vendors are setup according to internal policies Process employee expense reports in Workday, verify receipts and review coding.
- Initiate electronic vendor payments in online banking systems, virtual card payment systems and using online vendor portals as well as preparing check runs.
- Provide professional interaction and response to all levels of employees and vendors.
- Assist with providing supporting documentation for the annual financial statement audit.
- Assist with the monthly close process, making necessary adjustments and assisting in research with expense account fluctuations.
- Perform other general AP duties and/or special projects as needed.
- Work in an office environment with occasional travel required.
**What You Need**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or related field.
- 1-3 years of previous experience in accounting, previous experience with Netsuite and Workday preferred but not required.
- Basic Excel, detail-oriented and organizational skills.
- Skilled in the ability to prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Be articulate, timely and professional, and communicate in a clear and positive manner.
- Display ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
