**Your role**:
We are looking for a** Process & Automation Expert **who will report directly into the management team and who will play a pivotal role in setting up our customer's industrialisation processes. Your **vision and expertise in fine mechanical product assembly**, along with an** understanding of both mechanical and electronic principles**, will be key in redefining our assembly processes. You will work closely with operations and technology departments to continually improve the process-oriented thinking and achieve operational excellence.

Your tasks:

- You will **develop, build & manage** a **future proof and efficient assembly department**.
- You will **develop and implement a longterm assembly line strategy, **based on different volume scenario’s and thorough make - buy analysis
- With a deep understanding of **tolerances and automation**, you will ensure processes become increasingly **automated** and more **efficient**.
- You are responsible for manufacturing cost prices model and continuous improvement of the manufacturing cost price.
- You will provide **leadership **and** training** to the assembly team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- You will influence and shape business decisions by advocating for **operational efficiency and process automation**.
- You will transition the assembly line from manual to semi-manual operations, gradually leading to** full automation**.
- You will propose and take the lead in investment programmes with equipment suppliers;
- You will implement IT4.0 data capture and analysis systems
- You will maintain strong **collaborative relationships** with internal teams and partners across the globe.

**Your profile**:

- More than 8 years of experience, ideally in **setting up and improving an assembly department**.
- Background in **mechanics or electronics** is required.
- Technical knowledge of **tolerances **and** automation**.
- Expert in manufacturing techniques like PFMEA, Control plan, Lean line design, Value stream mapping.
- Affinity to Information Technology and IT infrastructure
- ** English** proficiency is a must; Dutch is a plus.
- ** Process-oriented thinker** who is adept at analysing and enhancing complex systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop an assembly team.
- You are able to adapt and succeed in a changing environment.
