**What you will be doing**

As Business Consultant, you employ considerable managerial and technical skills as a solution expert and a point of contact for customer's IT needs.
- Business acumen, balance between standardisation and customisation are key ingredients to translate Umicore strategy into efficient and risk-free day to day operations.

**Geographic scope**

The job is performed from the Hoboken office of Umicore in Belgium, but will require EU and international travel to ensure proximity to business teams.

**Team**

The jobholder will be part of the IT team, reporting to the Head of Business Applications, and will interact with the business teams of Umicore (globally), and within the IS department (at global and local level).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The SAP team member will be proficient in their domains SAP Production Planning & Execution and SAP Quality Management from a functional and configuration point of view.

Within their area of responsibilities, the team member will keep the Head of Business Applications informed about their activities.

The main responsibilities are:

- SAP Implementation & Enhancement Projects in Umicore
- Analyse the as-is processes of the company
- Act as template keeper during projects: protect and enforce the template and contribute to template development based on gained experience from roll out projects
- Help key users with migration activities
- Be responsible for the delivery of Production and Quality master data for the project
- Ensure common rules and data are respected
- Propose and develop, where necessary, solutions to gaps
- Help the key users to test the system and to realise system acceptance
- Implement and monitor the authorisations in the system so that sensitive and critical data/processes are protected.
- Keep the project manager(s) informed about project progress and issues
- Perform functional testing
- Provide expertise to the SAP Support team where needed

**Who we are looking for**
- Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent by experience in IT technology.
- In-depth knowledge of the SAP Production Planning & Execution and SAP Quality Management (functional and technical side) modules. General experience with MES is a plus.
- Experience with integration of SAP PP/PE/QM with other SAP modules is a must.
- 3-5 years of experience or above, with at least 2 proven project life cycles.
- Microsoft office.
- Excellent command and fluency in English. Other languages are a plus.
- Analyse business processes and translate in technical terms the functional description.
- Work in an international / multi-cultural environment, with different personnel profiles and managing different priorities simultaneously.
- Manage changes in working methods, processes and tools.
- Plan the sequence of actions in a project mode, while staying flexible in a changing priority environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally: 20 to 30%
- Strong communicator in person or remote (building trust and solid network). This requires excellent writing and reporting abilities, formulating concepts or suggestions in a clear and structured way.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Change management skills (including emotional intelligence and empathy) building argumentation and influencing in a structured way and staying strong in case of resistance.
- Results and customer support driven, be accountable and respectful of deadlines.
- Ability to work independently when necessary.
