About the role?

As the EMEA Category Buyer you define and own the category strategies for the direct spend categories:
resins & polymers. You align and collaborate with the appropriate sites across Europe and other members
of the Mitsubishi Chemical Europe Group.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Contract Management, ensure transparency of all contracts, reviewing terms and validity frequently;
- The tactical steps for your categories and balance the supply base between economy of scale and

supply risk mitigation;
- Help the EMEA purchasing team to reduce transactional work with supporting various digitalization

projects;
- Analyze the spend profile on quality, cost and delivery and ensure high data integrity in all MCAM

purchasing systems;
- As part of several Business Line teams you will consult cross-functional teams on availability and

pricing of certain products.

Your profile?
- A couple of years of relevant experience in purchasing in an international environment, preferably in

the automotive, electronics or chemical sector;
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office, spend analytics tools, e-sourcing platforms, experience in

project management and presentation;
- Proficient in English, preferably fluent in Dutch or German (depending on the production site);
- Managing larger organization in this role, negotiating contracts, terms and conditions;
- High degree of commitment, flexibility, team - and services readiness;
- Ability and experience to work in a fast changing European / global / multi-cultural environment and

matrix type organization and open for occasional business travels. You will mostly work for one of

our European production sites (e.g. Tielt, Heinsberg, Vreden).
