System Administrator

Tipik is a communication agency with headquarters in Brussels and offices in different EU
countries. It provides integrated communication services to the public institutions and
international organizations, most notably the European Union institutions. What does it

As our communication agency continues to expand its operations, we recognize the critical
role that IT support plays in ensuring the smooth functioning of our digital infrastructure. To
support our team, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated System Administrator. This
position is based in Brussels, Belgium.

**Role**
The System Administrator is responsible for seamlessly managing the company's IT tools and
services while providing exceptional technical support to users.

**Responsibilities**
The System Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the
company's computer infrastructure and providing technical support to the staff. Key
responsibilities include:

- Planning and implementing computer changes with a focus on quality, including system

reviews, purchases, and installations.
- Managing and maintaining the existing system.
- Providing user support to staff.
- Providing ongoing training to all staff on "good computing practices."
- Staying up-to-date with technological advancements in computer infrastructure and

telecommunication systems.
- Troubleshooting various devices such as PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, and VPN-related

issues.
- Escalating complex issues to the Senior Technologist when necessary.
- Managing IT services like M365 admin center, Azure Active Directory, Exchange,

Teams/SharePoint.
- Maintaining up-to-date databases related to hosting and hardware assets.
- Supervising new arrivals by providing guidance on IT tools like VPN, shared network,

OneDrive, etc.

- Managing other IT tools such as security access and badging.
- Ensuring the security of the company's computer systems (implementing security

measures, monitoring for threats and responding to security incidents).
- Ensuring that the company's computer systems comply with all applicable laws and

regulations.

**Requirements & Skills**

**Hard Skills**:
Must-haves
- Higher education diploma in computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in system administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in user support.
- Strong trouble-shooting skills
- Proficiency in French and English languages.
- Specialization in Microsoft Windows, and MacOS.

Good to have
- Specialization in Linux, Web technologies, and databases.

**Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to keep regular contact with all staff and effectively

inform the General Manager of relevant issues.
- Ability to provide advice and guidance to resolve technical problems, adapting

communication based on the recipient's technical knowledge.
- Strong collaborative skills to share information and collaborate effectively with

colleagues.
- Proactive approach to maintaining regular contact with the Group, staying

connected, and staying updated on relevant information.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, demonstrating adaptability and

cultural sensitivity.
