Your Profile:
Student of bachelor degree for material sciences (coating technologies) with affinity for big data analytics.
- Programming skills (Python, Matt apps, SQL, PowerBI, or equivalent)
- Flexible team player and personality able to work in an independent way
- Fluent in English(verbal/written), additional European language skills are an asset
- Familiar with material and chemical analytical techniques, with hands-on working style
- Quick and eager learner with a flexible mind and good eye for details

Your team and your responsibilities:
Toyota Motor Europe R&D Centre is responsible for:

- Developing vehicles and making concept proposals for European core models.
- Reflecting EU technologies to Toyota vehicles timely by utilizing a location advantage and a strong network with European partners.

The Material Engineering division (ME) is part of the R&D group at Toyota Motor Europe Technical Center in Zaventem, Belgium. By utilization of wide and deep material knowledge as well as evaluation & analysis capability, its mission is to conduct research, to develop and to introduce attractive & environment-friendly materials.

Paint department in Material Engineering Division is responsible for the investigation, development and introduction of coatings of vehicles for the purpose of enhancing attractiveness of the car and contribution to environment (low emissions, CO2 reduction). Our function is to design new colors for EU manufactured vehicles, development of decorative coatings for interior and exterior parts and advanced development of new type of pigments.

Paint department activities also require regular monitoring of the marketplace and field performance data collection for assessment of existing designs and for definition of new design specifications.

As major direction Paint department aims to utilise digital tools for technical and analytical tasks. We therefore decided to offer an internship for the field of AI Digitalization.

**Your Projects**

- Perform final assembly of software components and confirm roll out readiness
- Create Roll out plan, clarify trial activity targets and define timeline
- Perform investigation to identify participating parties, ensure agreement for roll out
- Launch and monitor roll out trial, perform intermediate assessments and implement improvements on detected concerns and malfunctions
- Complete trials, assess system performance and make conclusion on trial effectiveness.
