**Job description**
As Junior indirect tax specialist of the Soudal Group you will work on a number of indirect tax obligations & compliance activities, such as the preparation of VAT-, intrastat-, prodcom
- declarations and various customs formalities. You will play an important role in further automations and improvements of the existing and new tax processes. In this function you will form the bridge between the business challenges, the tax legislation and IT landscape. In time you will evolve to Lead Key User indirect tax within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
Soudal’s strong international presence and growth makes this job very challenging and diverse with the possibility to grow. This job position is not limited to purely indirect tax work. A healthy interest in direct tax aspects is desirable, whereby you will strengthen the current HQ tax team in different areas.
**Scope of position**
In this position you will directly report to the person in charge of global tax topics within the Soudal Group. You will strengthen the corporate tax team providing support in a wide range of tax topics globally for the Soudal Group. In this position you will also work closely together with our external (tax) advisors and act as one of the contact persons for Belgian and foreign tax authorities.
**Responsibilities**
- Indirect tax aspects:
- You will be responsible for the monthly Belgian VAT declarations and assist with a number of foreign VAT declarations.
- You are responsible for the preparation of various other declarations such as intrastat, prodcom, plastic tax, etc.
- You will participate in the further optimization and automation of a number of VAT / indirect tax compliance processes in Belgium and abroad.
- You participate in the further support of Soudal’s global VAT setup within SAP S/4HANA and other existing / future VAT tools.
- You will be involved in potential Belgian as well as foreign VAT audits.
- Direct tax aspects:
- You will provide support regarding the preparation and review of corporate tax returns / fiche-obligations.
- You will provide support regarding the preparation and update of transfer pricing compliance work.
**Profile**
- You have a Master's degree in business economics / legal with fiscal / tax specialization.
- You have built up about 3 years of practical experience (preferably in BIG4 or similar environment within the indirect tax department).
- In addition to indirect tax experience, you have an interest in direct tax aspects and tax technology solutions.
- You act and think proactively.
- You have organizational skills, are able to motivate people and contribute in a good group dynamics.
- You are a team player, strong in communication, resistant to stress, hands-on and solution oriented.
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English is a must.
