Welder Foreman

Overview:
Jan De Nul works with high-quality material, which requires high-quality maintenance, which includes the expertise of welder foremen.

**Responsibilities**:
A welder foreman assumes a leading role. From the local workshop at our foreign sites, you and a team of welders and fitters are responsible for the maintenance and repair of steel structures, pipelines, cutter heads, crane buckets, etc.

You guarantee the quality management system, ensure that prescribed welding procedures are followed, and supervise productivity. The planning, organisation and execution of the welding works is in your hands. You will work closely with and report to the site technical supervisor.
- You have extensive knowledge of welding techniques & procedures and sufficient practical experience.
- You have the necessary soft skills to manage the local welders.
- You have an excellent knowledge of English.
- You have a hands-on mentality and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
- You have a sense of initiative and responsibility.
- You are a go-getter; when you encounter a problem, you do not throw in the towel but work together with your colleagues to find a solution.

Working with us:

- In this position, you will work in a **challenging rotational schedule** of 6 weeks of work followed by 6 weeks of leave. During your work period, you will work 12h/day and 7 days a week.
- You will work ashore in our workshops and sleep on hotel (occasionally you may be required to perform or coordinate welding work on board ships; in that case, you will sleep on board the ship). The location of this employment is spread **worldwide** and varies according to our projects.
