**A day in the life of an IT Solution Architect**
- Provide technical guidance and support to the DevOps engineering teams during development and maintenance lifecycle. Actively develop and code new functionalities and improvements to the existing Tacsy Middleware components as key contributor to the development team.
- Create technical designs for the implementation of effective solutions that meet the specific needs of our organization.
- Guide the implementation and participate during development and life cycle phases of IT solutions. Take responsibility in reviewing the code and ensure all required documentation is provided.
- Ensure that the implemented solutions adhere to the technical design and our architectural principles.
- Ensure seamless alignment between design and implementation and business and architecture.

- At least 10 years of knowledge on the Unisys Mainframe.
- More then 5 years of experience as ALGOL system developer.
- A real problem solver with good analytical skills and a coaching mindset.
- Market focus: Stays abreast of developments in own technical discipline. Recognize and translate these to the own working environment.
- Show proactivity and flexibility: Come up with plans of action and adapt approaches if necessary.

- Strengthen the technical design and implementation quality of IT Systems.
- Optimize technology infrastructure, operational efficiency, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Foster collaboration between architecture and engineering disciplines.
- Improve career paths and succession lines from engineers to architecture (and vice versa).
**The team (SQUAD)**
The Core Bank Connectors Squad is responsible for Level 2 & 3 support, development, deployment, monitoring and maintenance on the MCP mainframe environment and the inhouse developed “Tacsy” middleware.
The team is structured with specific DEV and OPS roles and works according the Agile methodology with a Product owner who decides on the priorities and lifecycle of the supported products. The Solution architect will assist and advise the Product Owner in this role.
