We are currently looking for a Junior Web Editor for the European Parliament
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Communication and Marketing**:
- Taking care of the consistency of all the web texts promoting the European Parliament visiting offer: on the Visiting website, partners’ websites and on the intranet
- Working closely with the copywriter to reach this consistency and ensure all the pieces of information are present online to ease the citizens’ visits preparation.
- Editing the texts, spot last typos, harmonize punctuation and vocabulary.
- Ensure that the texts meet web requirements for referencing: key-words, meta descriptions, headings.
- Content creation and in-house translations to ensure events and activities monthly coverage.
- Liaising with translators and submitting documents meeting translators requirements.
- Following up on the creation of visuals by Concept & Design for the website.
- **Data and IT**:
- Liaising with webmasters and translating business needs into technical requirements for developers and producing specification documents.
- Reporting about the activities of the website and analyzing figures exported from Piano Analytics (AT Internet) and Power BI.
- Content integration on the website CMS Jahia 7 (in HTML from time to time).
- Integration and translations of the newsletters sent to citizens, businesses, and educators (in HTML).
- Updating and ensuring the consistency of the structure, navigation methods, and content between Visiting websites and other EP websites, to provide a meaningful and relevant experience to users and convey the values of the Unit.
- Improving the quality of traffic to ease the visitors' experience.
- Monitoring and managing the improvements that should be made for a better-looking and functioning website.
- Training and supervising trainees about content creation and integration for the website.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree + Minimum of 2 years of working experience.
- Attention to details: need to stick to the narrative style, embed hyperlinks correctly, and so in the 24 official EU languages.
- Interest in multilingualism.
- Adaptability, pro-activity and reactivity.
- Team player: the position is between to sub teams of the unit. The web editor works with several colleagues at the same time.
- Critical and constructive thinking: when proofreading texts, receiving visuals.
- Keep the users/citizens/visitors glaze for all communication assets and website developments.
- EN is mandatory + FR or NL or DE would be a + for this job.
