Bsm Manager

**Description**:
**ROLE**
- Guarantee that the services delivered by the Biosamples management unit always meet the defined specifications (quality, regulatory requirements, deadline and other KPI).
- Be an expert in the field of activity and propose technical solutions and improvements.
- Know the specifications of each study and accordingly inform/train the operators about it
- Collect from the PM information concerning the studies in order to write out appropriate WIs
- Train the team leader and the operators on the WI before the start of a study
- Aiding sales during quoting and bid defense meetings
- Optimize the planning of activities according to the availability of human and material resources
- Improve and challenge the processes used in the department
- Maintain tools and equipment and ensure their efficient use
- Establish qualification/calibration/maintenance programs for the equipment and ensure their follow-up
- Ensure and maintain proficiency and social skills of the collaborators of the bio repository department
- Ensure the team is adequately trained and adhere to the internal procedures
- Ensure a good communication within the team
- Control that everything goes smoothly and report directly all deviation to the project manager
- Work closely with the Biosamples Management team leader in order to be updated on the daily activities
- Organize regular meetings with the project managers in charge of BSM projects
- Ensure a technology watch in the repository and biobanking field and communicate the collected information to his N+1
- Maintain up to date know-how and expertise in the repository and biobanking field
- Attend regular meetings with the Director/VP Operations
- Identify and design technical solutions for the set-up of new projects
- Work closely with the project management department for each new project
- Develop the capacity of the department
- Be the leading expert in its field of activity
- Contribute to discussions and give advices and reviews about the bio-repository, biobanking, sample processing activities to the sales team, to the project managers and to the QA/QC team

**Profil**

**REQUIREMENTS**
- A scientific background - University degree
- Excellent written communication skills and active listening ability
- Excellent time management skills for working within a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Must be a self-motivated learner to critically evaluate situations, adapt quickly in making timely and independent decisions
- 1-3 years of experience in management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with cross functional teams and build consensus
- Maintain a high regard for confidentiality while dealing with all clients, proprietary and pharmaceutical related information
- All Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Other company proprietary software
- Fluent in English and in French
