**Investment Officer (IO)**
The role of the Investments Officer (IO) is one of support and process design. His or her mission is to assist the Private Bank’s Portfolio Management Services and Investments teams in the performance of critical - mostly IT related - tasks that run transversally across three of the team’s activities: Portfolio Management, Investment Desk and Portfolio Construction. The IO also participates to the design, improvement and testing of transversal processes and IT solutions in coordination with the team with the goal to increase efficiency, to comply with new regulations and market standards, or to reduce the operational risks linked to the activity.
**Your Position**:
**Portfolio Management**
The Portfolio Management activity, broadly defined, regroups all the tasks linked to the act of managing our clients’ portfolios. The IO’s tasks in that context consists in:
- Manage portfolios for « Core Strategy » or « Multi-Funds » mandates
- Support Portfolio Managers (PMs) of « Personalized » or « Advisory » mandates:
- Provide information about clients’ Periodic Report
- Help with support with on-line access
- Process transfer orders and deal with client correspondence and all administrative matters
- Liaise with internal service providers within the company to ensure timely and accurate execution/resolution of clients’ request on their account activity
- Order input into Avaloq (subscription / redemptions, payments, corporate actions, market orders, forex, deposits ) as per instructions received
- Follow-up on corporate action and cash management
**Investment Desk**
The Investment Desk activity consist in sharing the bank’s investment convictions based on the production of our teams of financial analysts, portfolio managers and economists. The information is shared both internally and with our clients. The IO’s tasks in that context consist in:
- Act as chief editor of the Investment Desk (ID) pages on Wallstream:
- Manage and update the library of internal notes and lists detailing PB’s investment convictions published on the ID pages.
- Prompt chair(wo)men of investment committees to update their underlying ID page
- Edit specific underlying pages, including: Sustainability Theme page, Equities Conviction List page, other...
- Maintain Factset terminals for PMs
**Portfolio Construction**
The Portfolio Construction activity is the act of building model portfolios based on the input from asset allocation and selection committees:
- Update transactions for Model Portfolios (on Avaloq Smartclients):
- Execute transactions and support tasks based on ad-hoc or scheduled queries (dividends, fees implementation) from model portfolios
- Act as secretary for the PB Portfolio Construction Committee (PPC)
- Support Portfolio Analytics tool (currently Access, migrating to Factset in the future)
**Your Profile**:
- You are an all-rounder, combining:
- Good interpersonal skills, team player, very service-minded;
- Excellent MS Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Word), ability to learn new systems;
- Ready user of investment information aggregators (Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Factset, )
- Strong written (editorial) and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch and / or French
- Strong analytical skills
- Master’s degree in a Business Management, Finance, or any related field.
