**Job Overview**
As a Business Controller at Becode, you'll play a crucial role for structuring and managing accounting operations, maintaining business intelligence systems and overseeing reporting processes of our project management team, ensuring the accuracy and quality of all project reports. You will assume responsibilities as both a financial and BI (Business Intelligence) expert.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a small and dynamic team, and drive meaningful change in the lives of vulnerable populations.
The Business Controller will be part of our Finance Team.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
As Financial Expert, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting our Senior Finance Manager in conducting quarterly closings and reviewing forecasts for financial accuracy.
- Monitoring revenue streams and issuing invoices through Teamleader tool.
- Preparing and managing budgets related to subsidies.
- Providing financial reports of public-financed projects.
- Tracking staff allocation and cost allocation on subsidies projects, ensuring alignment with project and financial goals.
- Designing and implementing a comprehensive structure for project financial reporting that aligns with our public partner’s standards. Propose improvement measures on reporting methodologies to both the PM and Finance teams and integrate these tools and methodologies into project management guidelines.
- Performing financial analysis on request
- Reviewing and validating project reports for financial accuracy and completeness.
As Business Intelligence Expert, your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding business needs to set clear BI goals, and implementing strategies to meet these objectives effectively.
- Collecting and tracking data from sales as well as new and on-going promotions using existing tools.
- Analyzing the answers and extracting meaningful insights for all Becode’s teams and particularly for the leadership team to inform business strategies and decision-making processes.
- Communicating through workshops and presentations
- Maintaining the existing tool (Sphinx/Salesforce) and exploring new BI tools and technologies.

We are looking for someone motivated to help us for a full-time position.
You need to:
- Have at least 3 years of professional experience in financial operations with experience in business intelligence
- Have knowledge of accounting (considered a valuable asset).
- Have strong analytical skills and experience in enhancing process improvement.
- Have exceptional attention to detail, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- Have excellent communication skills in English and French, with proficiency in Dutch being an added advantage.
- Be solution-oriented with a constant enthusiasm for challenges.
- Have good relationship-building skills and a strong sense of business priorities
- Be proficient in reporting tools and softwares.
- Be organized, very well structured and assertive willing to strive to work as efficiently and effectively as possible
