**About the role**:
**Monument Re group is a growing international insurance company established to operate as an asset intensive reinsurer and acquirer in Europe. To strengthen its investment team, Monument Assurance Belgium is looking for an Asset & Liability Manager, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience and with a very good professional knowledge of English. The Asset & Liability Manager will have a broad range of tasks and will provide support for investment decisions, market pricing of financial instruments and investment reporting.**

**Responsibilities**:
As part of the** investment team**, you will work in **close collaboration with several internal stakeholders**, such as our accounting & controlling department, our actuary department and the group Investment department. You will amongst others have the following responsibilities:

- Support the revision of the strategic asset allocation;
- Perform ALM studies to steer investment decisions and manage liquidities;
- Deploy and maintain pricing tools used for regular pricing of unquoted assets;
- Support the quarterly-end and year-end financial closing;
- Assist in the financial integration of newly acquired portfolios;
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports (BEGAAP, MGAAP, NBB and Solvency II);
- Assist in annual forecast and budget process;
- Support process improvement initiatives;
- You will from time to time travel to our other offices (UK, Dublin,..).

**Role Requirements**:

- **Master’s Degree** in Actuarial Sciences, Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent;
- **Minimum 5 years of relevant experience**, preferably acquired in an investment or ALM department within the insurance or financial sector;
- Strong knowledge of **Solvency II** and of** accounting software systems** is a strong asset;
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office including solid Excel skills;
- You are able to work autonomously in a collaborative way;
- You are eager to learn, flexible, well organised, pro-active, rigorous, hands on and stress resistant;
- You show good communication skills and have great numeric and analytical skills;
- You have a** very good professional knowledge of English** and **French**. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
