Functieomschrijving
Tasks and Responsibilities include
Perform financial accounting tasks and production of periodic AP/AR reporting and help preparing statutory accounts for the various BE/NL companies.
- Together with two other accountants, Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Cash/Banks and all related G/L's
- Together with the rest of the financial team, ensure the timely and accurate recording of financial and tax data in accordance with legal obligations and company policies
- Participate to the periodic financial closing, in close collaboration with the Controlling team and with the Group Finance team
- Prepare a periodic Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Reporting
- Responsible for appropriate recharges of operating costs (distribution, mechanicals, manufacturing,), in collaboration with the Controlling team
- Responsible for the timely booking of intercompany transactions, in collaboration with the Group Finance team
- Supervision and review of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Cash/Banks related statutory accounts
- Participate to the annual external audit
- Being one of the backups for tax compliance and tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, Indirect taxes)
- Participate to the reconciliation of balances with [PIAS] physical sales distributor and customers credit limits approvals
- Manage clients and suppliers' relationship
- Participate to (internal / external) financial and tax queries
Cash Flow Management and Reporting
- Review bank payments
- Participate to the Cash Flow Forecast process
- Participate to Cash reconciliations
- Prepare Payment needs
- Manage currencies (purchase/sale and organize payments in various currencies)
- Back-office administration for all BE/NL bank matters (opening/closing bank accounts, Isabel cards, credit cards, loan agreements, loans repayment schedules )
Credit Control on the not already outsourced part
- Responsible for the Credit Control process and performance
- Aging balance review, Turnover trackers review and implementation of new credit controls procedures
Support Finance Team in ad-hoc projects
- Process improvement,
Profiel
- Qualified Accountant (Bachelor degree as a minimum), with an experience of minimum 5 years in a similar function
- Team player, able to work independently, to interact and communicate efficiently with other team members
- Experience with General Accounting principles and statutory reporting
- Knowledge of Belgian, Dutch corporate law and country specific financial and tax legislation
- Analytical, organized, methodical with good attention to detail
- Capable of understanding complex business models
- Advanced use of excel and ‘hands on' use of accounting systems.
- Fluent in EN and NL, FR is a plus.
- Outgoing and able to fit in to a lively media atmosphere
- Hands on/doer personality
- Able to cope with a fast-moving environment
- Passionate about music
