Senior Reporter - Tax Policy Developments (6 months contract)

We are seeking a senior reporter to cover tax policy developments in Continental Europe and U.K. This reporter will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the beat and a reliable roster of sources.

**Responsibilities**:
- Researches and writes news items for the Law360 Tax Authority newsletter.- Newsletter publishes daily so ‘spot’ news articles would be the norm, though there may be scope for longer features.- Responsible for following tax policy developments in Continental Europe and possibly also the U.K.- The focus of the position would be activities in Brussels, at the epicentre of power in the EU.- Track tax legislation from its introduction by the European Commission all the way to possible approval and implementation by member states.- Stay on top of meetings of EU finance ministers and be prepared to attend relevant press conferences.

**Requirements**:
- Experience of writing articles about judgments, opinions and hearings of the European Court of Justice.- Experience of following tax-related hearings in the European Parliament.- English fluency required, knowledge of other European languages a plus.Occasional travel may be required
