**About the role**:
**Monument Re group is a growing international reinsurer established to operate as an asset intensive reinsurer and acquirer in Europe. To strengthen its Actuary team based in Brussels and Liège, Monument Re would like to hire an Actuarial expert, with 5-10 years of postqualified experience and with professional knowledge of English and French. The Actuary will have a broad range of complex actuarial tasks and will have the chance to support the further roll-out of a strong actuarial department.**
**Responsibilities**:
As part the Actuarial team based in Brussels and Liège, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Delivery of the quarterly and annual Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) solvency position of the Company;
- Production of the year-end actuarial reports as well as contribution to other regulatory submissions (e.g. Stress Testing, Liability Adequacy Tests, );
- Contribute to various contract migration and inforce management projects;
- Production of local and Group actuarial management information (e.g. actuarial assumption setting, performance results, );
- Production of the local business plan projections;
- Support the continuous enhancement of actuarial processes, models and controls as well as the local roll out of Group requirements;
- Contribute to the effective risk management of the actuarial function; Acting as a link between Group and local actuarial teams;
- Support engagement with external stakeholders including the NBB, external auditor, outsourced actuarial support.
**Role Requirements**:
- Qualified Actuary (or equivalent) with 5 -10 years postqualified experience;
- Proven track record in financial reporting for traditional lines of business, including guaranteed savings/pension business;
- Experience in Solvency II and BEGAAP is essential;
- Pricing and product actuarial skills;
- Experience with reinsurance programmes is a plus;
- Effective communication, presentation and leadership skills;
- Exhibits self-motivation, flexibility and drive;
- Takes initiative without the need for approval;
- Ability to effectively collaborate across a range of stakeholders within the Group and external stakeholders;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Prophet would be an advantage.
