This role will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the business and Data & Business intelligence financial departments, enabling seamless integration and optimisation of their systems.
The Transversal Business Data Analyst is a key member of our cross-functional team within the Business intelligence & Data department, responsible for understanding the needs of various stakeholders, particularly in financial & reporting operations, and leveraging their expertise in a Data-warehouse domains to drive business efficiency's.
This role involves analysing complex business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and collaborating with various teams to deliver practical solutions.
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Data Warehouse Management**: Leverage data warehousing expertise to design, optimise, and maintain data models, ensuring the availability of accurate and reliable data for business reporting and analytic.
- ** Business Process Mapping**: Collaborate with business stakeholders to document and map current business processes related to financial operations, identifying pain points and areas for automation and streamlining
- ** Requirements Gathering**: Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements from various stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and technology teams, to ensure successful project delivery
- ** Solution Design**: Work with cross-functional teams to design and propose innovative solutions that address business needs while aligning with the organisation's IT strategy and data governance policies.
- ** Business Intelligence and Reporting**: Develop insightful and actionable business intelligence reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making at various levels of the organisation.
- ** Training and Support**: Provide training and support to end-users, enabling them to effectively utilise financial systems and data warehouse resources.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, optimising business workflows and promoting operational excellence.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry and within a Data & BI Team, with a focus on DWH projects
Understanding of financial processes, such as accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in DWH, data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques - Eager to work on both technical and business aspects of the job with exciting and technical concepts
Experience working with data visualization and business intelligence tools - IBM DataStage or any other ETL technology, experience in transforming relationship models into dimensional models, SQL
Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building productive relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
