**Procurement and Business Development Manager**:

- We at Vadigran are a **Belgian family business**, specialized in high-end **food, care, and accessories for pets and garden animals**. Three generations ago, we started as a producer of quality seed mixes. Since then, we’ve grown into a **warm and cohesive team** of about **100 employees**. We offer a **wide range of products** to pet stores and garden centers, with a strong focus on **quality and innovation**.In our production entity **Vadipro**, we manufacture various **grain mixes** for birds and rodents as well as rice blends for dogs. These are made with **natural ingredients** such as grains, seeds, nuts, and dried fruits, complemented by extrusions and puffed grains purchased from carefully selected suppliers.

It is for our Vadipro team that, we’re on the lookout for a **Procurement and Business Development Manager** who’s ready to take on an exciting **dual role**. You’ll handle both the procurement of our raw materials and play a key part in growing our business in new and existing markets. It’s a crucial role where you’ll be making a **real impact**—finding the best suppliers, securing great deals, and driving our expansion.

**What you’ll do**:
Procurement (60%):
**Source materials**: You’ll be in charge of buying grains, seeds, extrusions, and packaging—keeping our supply chain running smoothly.-
**Plan ahead**: Use demand forecasts and production plans to maintain the right stock levels, planning purchases up to 12 months out.-
**Manage contracts & orders**: Decide how much we need, negotiate contracts, place orders, and make sure deliveries arrive on time so production never misses a beat.-
**Build supplier relationships**: Maintain solid connections with current suppliers, and scout for new ones who offer great value and reliability.-
**Stay on top of trends**: Follow market trends and pricing shifts—whether it’s weather, politics, or other factors—so you can make smart, informed decisions.-
**Negotiate deals**: Work your magic to secure the best prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions.-
**Find better ways**: Always be on the lookout for ways to improve how we do things, collaborating with planning, sales, and production teams.Business Development (40%):
**Build partnerships**: You’ll strengthen our relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, helping us expand into new areas.-
**Spot opportunities**: Research new markets (in Belgium and beyond), identify potential growth areas, and help us get a foothold in those spaces.-
**Create tailored solutions**: Work closely with our product team to come up with offerings that suit each market and prospect.-
**Key account management**: Act as a dedicated “farmer” for our existing clients, following up on their private label ranges. You’ll be responsible for renewing contracts and managing any issues that come up - ensuring our clients feel supported and valued.-
**Market research**: Dive into industry trends and customer needs to help guide pricing and business strategies.-
**Represent us**: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to spread the word about what we do.**Who we’re looking for**:
**Background**: A degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.-
**Experience**: You’ve got experience in procurement and/or business development, ideally in a production setting.-
**Skills**: Great at organizing and solving problems. You excel in analytical thinking and can making data-driven decisions. You’re also a strong negotiator with solid communication skills.-
**Mindset**: You have above all an entrepreneurial mindset and strong common sense.-
**Tech**: Comfortable with Microsoft Office and BC365. If you’ve used BI, that’s a bonus-
**Languages**: Fluent in English, French, and Dutch. Other languages? Even better-
