As QA Compliance Manager for the Verviers, Belgium | Lonza site, you will be responsible to manage 7 people and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable cGMP and ISO requirements. You will also manage compliance-critical functions including quality systems, change control, training, Internal audit, validation support, document control, supplier quality, quality agreements and regulatory and customer audit program for the site.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on quality metrics and issues, working within the department and with other departments to identify and implement quality improvement projects and policies.
- Manage the processes of the Lonza Verviers biobank to ensure compliance to the applicable regulations.
- Manage and maintain compliance of Verviers Site to the Lonza Quality Systems, applicable quality regulations, guidance documents, industry standards, and customer expectations.
- Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
- Facilitate customer and regulatory agency audits at Lonza Verviers and respond in writing to audit observations. Ensure follow up activities.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and oversee performance of vendor audits
- Review or modify policies or operating procedure to comply with changes to standards or regulations.
Key requirements:
- Master degree in pharmacy, chemistry or biology
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or food industry
- Experience in quality systems and people management
- Fluent in French and English
- Very good leadership skills and good analysis of figures
- Seeks and provides feedback to their team to support professional development
