The **Department of Management** in the **Faculty of Business and Economics** is looking for a **full-time doctoral scholarship holder** in the field of **International Entrepreneurship**.
**Position**
- You will work actively on the preparation and defence of a PhD thesis in the field of International Entrepreneurship. The PhD project takes on a contingency perspective and explicitly considers personal, firm and environmental level factors as contingent on an SME's or start-up’s international strategic orientation and subsequent international performance. The stimulation of international entrepreneurial activities will receive specific attention within the project’s focus.
- You will publish scientific articles related to the research project.
- You will carry out a limited number of teaching and research support tasks for the Department of Management.
**Profile**
- You hold a Master degree in Applied Economics, Business Engineering, or equivalent, or you will have obtained it by the time you start to work.
- You can demonstrate excellent study results (cum laude or higher). Please explicitly add your master’s study results in your CV.
- Your teaching competences are in line with the University of Antwerp’s educational vision.
- Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and university research policies.
- You act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation (team player).
- You are fluent in English (both written and oral).
- You have experience with/have interest in entrepreneurship, internationalization and/or management related topics, in practice and/or theory.
**What we offer**
- The planned starting date is September 1st, 2023 at the latest.
- Your monthly scholarship amount is calculated according to the scholarship amounts for doctoral scholarship holders on the pay scales for Contract Research Staff (Dutch: Bijzonder Academisch Personeel, BAP).
- You will receive ecocheques, Internet-connectivity allowance and a bicycle allowance or a full reimbursement of public transport costs for commuting.
- You will do most of your work at the City Campus in a dynamic and stimulating working environment.

**Want to apply?**
(1) A two/three-page research idea: write an academic journal introduction about a research topic you are interested in in the International Entrepreneurship domain, max. 3 pages, excluding references.
(2) Short presentation (max. 10 minutes) about a recent research achievement. You can, for example, summarize the most important take-aways of your master thesis, a recent research project, etc. The goal of this presentation is that you explain the selection committee why you undertook this research project, how you executed it, and what its most important results or take-aways were.
