**MISSION**:
The mission of the Agile PMO is to make the business-IT delivery organization more agile, efficient and effective by implementing and improving fit for purpose (agile) delivery procedures, operations, and practices. In addition, the Agile PMO supports the agile teams and Release Trains (RT) to relentlessly improve.
To achieve this mission, the Agile PMO takes up the role of:
- **Owner of the Minimal Common Agile Methodology.** This encompasses the **common** SAFe[1] & Scrum methodology, across the agile teams and Community of Practices[2] (CoP)
- **Product owner **of the agile delivery tools (Jira, Confluence & Miro) as well as related BI reporting), used by all teams across the entire agile organisation.
The Agile PMO acts from 2 distinct angles.
- Drive and land new initiatives:
- The Agile PMO takes the lead to identify, design and implement new, common, agile practices, methodologies or tools. This also includes the onboarding of new teams or RT’s into the common agile methodology as well as starting up new CoP’s.
- Relentless Improvements:
- Agile PMO supports and challenges the existing RT’s, agile teams and CoP’s to relentlessly improve their performance through evolving the existing methodology, practices, tool setup and data intelligence on the delivery performance.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
As direct report of the Head of PMO, accountable for the agile PMO, the agile PMO officer takes up the following responsibilities:
- Drive and land new initiatives:
- The Agile PMO officer takes the lead to identify, design and implement new, common, agile practices, methodologies or tools, together with the Release Train engineers
- Drive the onboarding of new agile teams and CoP’s
- Develop and implement performance measurements to increase quantity and/or quality of output and to report it to resource managers/project managers, senior management and to the whole of the delivery organization
- Propose, prioritize and implement new tools or improvements to the tools to gain efficiencies, to simplify, or to fulfill the needs of the current or future way of working of working.
- Relentless Improvements
- Coach the growth of the agile teams and RT’s from a data driven perspective
- Support the organization of the CoP’s, follow up on their state & lifecycle of the CoP's and facilitate cross fertilization between CoP’s
- Centralize methodology Improvements provided by CoP's and support them in landing the change in the organization
- Manage the Agile PMO tools:
Manage the Life cycle mgmt to meet the needs of the organization
Integrate the operations of the tools
Safeguard the quality of operational performance
Manage quality control and impose corrective measures
Manage the knowledge & training for the tools
**SKILLS**:
- Comfortable and flexible in operating within in a fast-changing environment, acting as a change enabler to internal clients
- Ability to advise and interact with all levels of management
- Experience in Agile methodologies is required with a preference for SAFe methodology
- Acting as a change ambassador
- Innovative to problem solving and process optimization
- Organizational skills in order to manage and priorities work and initiatives under deadlines
- Strong structuring, analytical and process skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
- Stress resistant and demonstrate patience, tolerance and resilience
**BACKGROUND**:
- Solid educational background, Masters degree required. Preferably commercial engineer/MBA level.
- Preferably certified in an Agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe), familiarity with ITIL is a plus.
- Affinity with or interest in the market and current trends of Agile Project Management tooling
- Business proficient in Dutch/French and English
- Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Analysis is a strong plus.
