**Job vacancy at the ETUC - Head of Finance**
The ETUC is recruiting a full-time **Head of Finance. **The Head of Finance is responsible for the ETUC finances and will report to the General Secretary.
- **Permanent contract** on a full time basis**:
- **Location: Brussels**
**Description**
- Oversee the financial activities of the organisation;
- Forecast financial results, manage budgets and conduct risk management;
- Be responsible for the accounts and reporting of 4 organisations (ETUC, EUROCADRES, FERPA and Stichting EVV-Fonds);
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations/ensuring team members comply with regulations;
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions;
- Manage the finance department, which consists of 3 accountants and 1 administrative assistant and ensure a smooth running;
- Assist the General Secretary by issuing timely, accurate and comprehensive financial statements;
- Prepare reports on financial results and financial activities/financial reporting including the annual budget, the annual accounts and the affiliation fees for the ETUC Steering Committee and the ETUC Executive Committee;
- Manage grant agreements of the European Commission;
- Organise internal and external audits;
- Handling confidential information and establishing secure procedures;
- Work closely together with other departments within the organisation, meeting with the Chief of Staff and other department heads.
**Profile**
- At least 10 years’ experience as Head of Finance or a similar position;
- Solid knowledge of financial management and of Belgian accounting rules and finances;
- Excellent written and spoken French and English and preferable also a good understanding of Dutch;
- In-depth analytical and methodical skills;
- Knowledge of accounting software and very good Excel skills;
- Effective leadership qualities.
