The Role: Media Producer
The media producer is the senior person in the production of multi-media content, including in our in-house studio. As the media producer, you will do more than just handle video and audio equipment, you will collaborate with senior editorial staff and other creators to produce engaging audio and visual material. More specifically, the media producer will:
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, working closely with editorial staff, to develop audio and video content;
- Produce audio and video content beginning with concept phase, pre-production, production and post-production to be used online;
- Employ a solid understanding of audio and video production technology and use it to manage the creation of content for digital formats;
- Use their knowledge of software programs like Final Cut Pro, AVID, After Effects and Photoshop to create and edit visual content;
- Use strong familiarity with YouTube and other social media platforms as well as podcast platforms to ensure effective publication of high-quality audio and video content
- Analyze media placement performance and make optimization recommendations;
- Contribute to marketing strategy & implementation, social media, and SEO to optimise content performance online;
- Organize media management system for archival footage, photography, and animationsAnalyze media placement performance and make optimization recommendations;

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Educated to Degree level in Media Production, with 5 years of relevant experience;
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
- Creative decision-making skills;
- Knowledge of professional audio/video and staging techniques, facilities, and equipment; audio/video tape storage and archiving procedures; professional audio and/or video - editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards.
- Ability to formulate broadcast programming concepts and to plan, develop, and implement live and/or pre-recorded programs;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and communicate at all levels inside and outside the organization.
