Wat ga je doen?
As a Business Controller within The Ambitious Group, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, analysing data, and providing insights to drive informed decision-making. You will collaborate closely with the Finance Director and the Payroll Administrator. Furthermore, we are a growing company improving its processes to optimize financial performance, ensure compliance, and contribute to the organization's overall growth and success.Financial Planning and Analysis:
Prepare regular financial & statutory reports and presentations for management, highlighting key insights and recommendations;
Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving initiatives. Budget Management:
Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs;
Track and report on budget variances, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.;
Provide guidance and support to department heads on budget management and expenditure control. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures;
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements;
Consolidate financial statements in our group consolidation software LucaNet;
Coordinate external audits and tax filings, liaising with auditors and regulatory authorities as required;
Be the back-up for the pay-roll administrator and assure accuracy in the pay-roll department by performing the 4-eye principle;
Be the back-up for the Finance Director. Business Performance Analysis:
Conduct profitability analysis by client, sector, or service line, identifying areas for optimization and revenue growth;
Collaborate with Head Quarters regarding group guidelines and principles. Process Improvement and Efficiency:
Streamline financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy;
Identify opportunities for automation and technology adoption to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities;
Implement best practices in financial management and control to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Wat zoeken wij?
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred;
A proven experience as a financial analyst, business controller, or similar role, preferably in the recruitment or staffing industry;
Hands-on experience/mentality;
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis;
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards;
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., Easi);
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines;
The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
